8929_mediumThe story of one of the most wonderful creatures in worlds Arabian horse breeding is the story of the legacy of an extraordinary man - Michałów State Stud Director Ignacy Jaworowski, considered by many to be the greatest of the Polish breeding geniuses and perhaps the greatest Arabian breeder of the 20th century. Director Jaworowski will always be entwined with the extraordinary legacy of his incomparable mares of Michałów Stud. With hundreds of international champions to his credit representing a broad genetic palette, it was the exemplary "E" families of the dam line of Milordka that were closest to Director's heart and to his Arabian ideal. Originating with the foundation Amurath Sahib daughters - Estokada and Lala, the dam line of Milordka now enjoys premier status as the most successful Polish dam line in modern Arabian breeding. There are two branches of it existing in Polish program with larger and infinitely more successful dam family of Estokada continued to break records, dominate the competition and convert Arabian enthusiasts, principally by the descendants of her Nabor-sired daughters - Estebna and Eskapada. European Champion Mare Estebna was the all-time favorite mare of Director Jaworowski. Her influence today continues through the successful sub-family of 1991 Polish National Reserve Champion Mare Emigracja that enjoyed incredible accomplishment and glory with the produce of her most famous daughters. One of them was the mare admired by many frequent visitors at Michałów - Emigrantka.

The fleabitten EMIGRACJA, dam of Emigrantka, was born at Michałów State Stud in 1980, sired by Palas out of Emisja by Carycyn. This 1991 Polish National Reserve Champion Mare was moderately sized, beautiful mare of exceptionally dry, desert type. She was the best representative of her origins - the Polish most successful show champions producing family of Milordka, established ca. 1810 in Sławuta stud owned by Polish counts family Sanguszko. Emigracja was 16th female generation tracking from Milordka. The value and power of her pedigree was the early idea of so called "diamond cross" discovered and preserved later on by Polish breeders which consisted on combination of two male lines of Ibrahim db. (through Nabor) and Egyptian lines represented by Nazeer and Palas (by Aswan). The main task of Palas imported in 1973 to Poland from Tersk Stud in Russia was to prolong the old Saklawi I sire line. While crossed with well conformed and valuable Polish broodmares it was found as an infallible recipe for Polish breeding success until nowadays. Named the sire of champions Palas left behind a real constellation of exceptionally beautiful daughters with such a famous star as legendary Pilarka born 1975 at Janów Podlaski while for Michałów - such undefeated star was Emigracja, born 1980. On the dam side Emigracja was a daughter of Emisja, 1984 Polish National Champion Mare, daughter of Espada (by Aquinor) - 1968 US National Top Ten Mare (while on lease to Nichols Arabians). Espada was out of Nabor daughter - Eskapada - Polish National Reserve Champion Mare in the age of 21, dam of 13 foals including US National Reserve Champion Stallion Eros (by El Paso), successful  American and Polish chief sire - Eskimos (by Elf), Polish National Champion Mare Ekstaza (by Celebes) and Espada mentioned above, the granddam of Emigracja. Emigracja herself reached the great age of 28 being a witness of great loss of her best producing daughters - Emigrantka and Emanacja, both by Polish National Champion Stallion - Eukaliptus with whom Emigracja proved to be an ideal cross producing a collection of great, grey mares and establishing her own, refined sub-family in Michałów called the "family of Emigracja". Indeed, she was an incomparable female producer - as out of 14 living foals of Emigracja 12 happened to be fillies and just two colts! Amongst of dozen of her daughters half of them became multiple champions and champion producers in Poland and abroad.

8931_mediumIn 1984, the continuator of one of Polish most successful male lines of Ibrahim db. (though legendary stallions: Bandos, Negatiw, Naseem and Skowronek) - EUKALIPTUS (Bandos - Eunice by Comet), the future sire of monumental impact to worlds breeding was back to his homeland after 4 years lease to Lasma Arabians, US. On request of talented breeder Ignacy Jaworowski, he was, for the second time in his life, placed at Michałów Stud barns where he spent another four years - the years that made Eukaliptus known as the one of most significant stallions for Polish breeding program ever. Director Jaworowski with great help of Eukaliptus found the key for Michałów Stud's everlasting success - the golden cross with the daughters of Palas. One of these daughters - Emigracja, beacame the mile stone for the dynasty of champions. The first product of this couple was EMIGRANTKA, foaled 1985 at 7:15 pm at Michałów Stud barns.

Emigrantka remained rose grey until the late age and just like her dam turned sparsely fleabitten as matured.  She was undoubtedly one of the best foals of Michałów Stud 1985 foal crop that included also such stars as Esklawa, Kawalkada and future chief sire - Eldon. Later - she became unquestionably one of the most beautiful mares ever bred at Michałów Stud, and by many of its frequent guests - the very first horse to visit at the barn. The beautiful snow white broodmare with a small blaze, feminine with an ideal and refined  head, dark, intelligent eyes and unbelievably long, elegant neck Emigrantka was the most appreciated for her sweet, kind and pleasant disposition with also delight to show off for an audience with magnificent presence and phenomenal trot. As a yearling she debuted in Polish National Show judged by Teresa de Borbon Marquesa de Laula, Philippe Barble de Preaudeau and Dr Eugene La Croix, won her class of yearling fillies and was crowned Polish National Reserve Champion Filly and repeated this result at European Championships in Ostende as two years old. After the short race career she returned to the shows at 1989 Polish Nationals when she came second in the class after the eventual Polish National Reserve Champion (Warszula) and in 1991 - winning the class in great style in front of her stable mate Esklawa at Polish Nationals judged by Klaus Beste, Raymond Mazzei and Jerzy Budny. Both Emigrantka and Esklawa travelled to European Championships in Aachen the same year. In widely popular decision Emigrantka was named European Champion Mare with the highest score of the show (with Esklawa as Reserve Champion). Emigrantka returned to Polish Nationals a year later gaining the title of unanimous National Champion. In the meantime, since July 1988 she was included into the broodmares stock in Michałów as the "number 7650". Although she passed away unexpectedly and much too early, Emigrantka made her tribute to the worlds breeding as the dam of 12 foals in 13 years of production  - giving birth to 5 fillies and 7 colts, all grey with two striking chestnuts by Monogramm - Emarilla and Erald as the only exceptions. Undoubtedly, her best foal was Polish National and European Champion Stallion, All Nations Cup Reserve and World Top Ten - EMIGRANT  (by 1999 Polish National Champion Stallion - Ararat), used widely in Polish breeding and sold in the age of 17 to Valley Oak Arabians, US.

Emigrant was the most precious representative of Saklawi I sire line in Poland and personified as the most classic type of Polish Arabian - exotic dry, elegant, of perfect conformation and calm, friendly disposition inherited by his dam. He left several outstanding foals while in Polish breeding program - with number of extremely valuable broodmares that can be found in both state and private Polish breeding: like Michałów-bred Pustynna Róża - 1999 Polish National Champion Filly or Prudencja - sold in 2007 to Dubai for 70 000 EUR, class winner at Tulip Cup and Scandinavian Open - Ganga and her full sister - top five of the class at Scandinavian Open and twice highest scored Polish private bred filly at Białka Junior Spring Show -  Gaja Selene, both at Chrcynno Palace Stud; But Emigrant was hopefully also a sire of few very important male descendants of his tail. One of them seems to continue Saklawi I sire line in Poland at least judging by his foal crops. GASPAR (out of Gaskonia by Probat), 2000 Polish National Champion Colt & Best in Show, 2002 Reserve Champion Stallion - Wintzenheim (France) and 2006 Polish National Champion Stallion is a sire comparable with his father and his daughters are sometimes even better then Emigrant's, especially that all Emigrant progeny and grand progeny is late maturing and the females become really high class mares being adult. Gaspar surely didn't say his last word in breeding so far. There were also few important Emigrant-sired stallions that continue their careers in shows and breeding while exported abroad as: Emrod (out of Empressa by Probat) - in Denmark or Polish private bred Migrant (out of Mina by Monogramm) - in Tenerife. Besides Emigrant another two sons of Emigrantka bear the special mention. The eldest is Edeon (by Eldon) - 1993 Polish National Reserve Champion Colt and 1994 Polish National Junior Champion Colt exported to Patricia Lindsay's Holmes Farm in UK with several great foals on his credit, and El Mundo (by Monogramm) - US, Canadian and Scottsdale Champion AOTH while exported to Buckshot Farm in the US.

8930_mediumThe first foal of Emigrantka - grey filly Emancypacja (by Falsyfikat), exported in 1996 to Sweden is worth to mention as 2000 International Reserve Champion Mare in Linkoping and serving as elite broodmare at Kullatorp Arabians, very promising pearl of Michałów barns is Pesal daughter - very similar to her wonderful dam - Endorra, but without a doubt he greatest female product of Emigrantka is another proof of the successful Polish x Egyptian lines cross -  breathtakingly exotic EL DORADA (by Sanadik El Shaklan) - Polish National Junior and Senior Champion Mare, All Nations Cup and European Champion Mare - Junior and Senior and Reserve European Senior Champion, World Reserve Champion, Babolna International Champion, US National Champion, Scottsdale Reserve Champion Mare, US Region II and VII Champion Mare. This mare of outstanding beauty is not only entitled but also valuable as a broodmare producing the next generations of champions in Poland and while on lease abroad (El Medina, El Euphoria VO, El Palacio VO).

Emigrantka passed away unexpectedly in 2002. She lies buried in the area of Michałów Stud reserved for only the most legendary Arabians of the stud. Her name was proudly added to the granite memorial stone for her lasting contribution to Arabian horse breeding around the world. Her last foal - 2002 colt named Europos (by Triplecrowned Ekstern) was raised by Emigrantkas full sister - Emanacja.
