Bergamo
During the weekend of August 28th through to 30th, there was great weather in Bergamo, made milder by the rain, which watered the ring and refreshed the air. It was here that the National ECAHO "C" show was held, part of the local event called "Bergamo Equestria". There was a large number of spectators and horses, 67 to be precise, including 11 futurity, judged (on Friday night) by Cristian Moschini, Mrs. Maria Ferraroni Mr. Daniel Souppat (France).
The real work started the following day, with the category of Yearling Colts, excellently scored by the above-mentioned judges. The category was opened and won by GS DAHABI with a score of 119, to the joy of its owner, Mr. Salvatore Graffato, who came all the way from Sicily for this specific appointment. Second with just two points less was FLUKE owned by Azienda Agricola Roncaccio.
Among Yearling Fillies, the winner with a score of 112 was MANILA owned by Beatrice Bigotti, followed by AP SHAKIRA of Mr. Claudio Pastine. The category of 2-year-old colts was combined with that of the 3-year-olds and the winner was ELISIR BY WH JUSTICE owned by Mrs. Elisa Caruso. Second place for GHS MONTEGO BAY of L'arabite C.T.E. Azienda Agricola Ongarine of Marina Pasquali won the category of 3-year-old fillies with KEYRA, 123 points, while ANTHASIA ASHIRAF owned by Mr. Giacomo Boscarino finished in second place with 122 points.
The lovely DA AFRICA owned by Mr. Antonio Stefano won the category of 3-year-old fillies, followed by TD VALENTINA of Massimiliano Bragonzi.
The end of the Saturday competition was marked by the mare category, combined for the ages of 4 and above. This category, being the only one, automatically assigned also the titles of Champion and Reserve Champion. The Gold medal went to MILLENNIA of Giampaolo Gubbiotti, the Silver Medal was awarded to M EOS, also owned by Mr. Gubbiotti, whereas ZAIRA BY SERENGEETE owned by Mr. Antonio Culcasi won the Bronze.
The stallions competed on Sunday morning, starting with those aged 4 to 7. The owner and breeder of BASHIR AL GAUG is Dr. Philipp Selva, followed by ES MAHDI of Mr. Andrea Maffioletti. The winner among stallions above the age of 8 was also won by Mr. Gubbiotti with ETERNAL FLAME, the second place went to the Bontempi brothers of the La Speranza stud with EB MEGA SHAK.
The final championship for fillies was won by DA AFRICA, gold medal, KEYRA silver and ANTHASIA ASHIRAF bronze.
The colt winning the Gold medal was ELISIR BY JUSTICE, followed by GS DAHAB, Silver medal, and FLUKE, Bronze.
Mares: MILLENNIA was gold, M EOS silver and ZAIRA BY SERENGETEE bronze.
Stallions: gold medal ETERNAL FLAME silver BASHIR AL GAUG and bronze ES MAHDI.
The best horse in show award was won by MILLENNIA.
