Future Farms Arabians Australia - Open Day

FUTURE FARMS STAGES HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL OPEN DAY

Future Farms annual open day was again held on their property at Bolinda Vic on Saturday 3rd December 2011.
The day was attended by some 450 people who traveled in from everywhere in the Arabian horse world including the USA, Canada, UK, Germany,  Brazil, New Zealand and of course from various states in Australia.

On a beautiful balmy afternoon the show commenced with people being able to walk the various mare and foal paddocks at their leisure, get up nice and close to the many horses on display in each of the barns and view the training and breeding facilities on the farm. This was followed by a professional presentation of each of the fabulous breeding stallions standing at stud and then the mares with this year's babies at foot. The barn was then opened again to allow people to have another look at the horses presented as well as other quality horses for sale and ask the several staff on hand any questions they may have had in relation to individual horses.

Highlights of the show included SF Sir Real (Imp USA) recently imported from the USA to be shown in Australia and stand at public stud this season before returning home again to the United States of America.

The fabulous Crave FF was the crowd favourite of the presentation with many of his multi-championship progeny drawing wide acclaim including his beautiful daughter Gameelah KA ( National and East Coast Champion) who was having her final appearance in Australia before heading off to the USA to compete at  Scottsdale and the Las Vegas World Cup.
Other stallions  presented included Prince Charming FF, DBR C Zar (Imp USA),Temar Mahavee, Concherto FF, Spiderman FF, Burren-Dah True Blue, Sadiks Psyche, Mylani Stawm and Tokyo Joe.

The day concluded with most of those attending staying for a delicious spit roast along with drinks and a variety of finger foods and listening to the talented vocalist/musician Kylie Hogan. The children were kept entertained by a jumping castle situated in the main arena with plenty of soft drinks and lollies.

According to Kate and Doyle Dertell, the day was highly successful with several purchases made on the day and many contracts for breedings acquired.
