Title Show Dates for Katara International Arabian Horse Festival Amended

The overwhelming participation of horses warrants revision in the schedule

The Katara International Arabian Horse Festival (KIAHF), held under the patronage of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, presented by Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, has received tremendous response from horse owners and breeders. More than 300 purebred Arabians have registered for the Title Show, the highpoint of the Festival. Of these, more than 200 horses have met the stipulated requirements and will hence participate in the prestigious Show. These figures will rise further, as registrations will be made open for horses qualifying in the upcoming 23^rd Qatar National Arabian Horse Show, from 22 – 26 January. The overwhelming participation necessitates that the Tile Show dates are amended to ensure optimum conditions of competition. The Show will now be a 4-day event, instead of three as previously announced. While the Festival dates remain unchanged from 2 – 6 February, the Title Show is scheduled from 3 – 6 February.

The Organizing Committee of KIAHF is also gearing up to conduct an auction show on 29 January. The auction will feature only those purebred Arabians that have already qualified for participation in the Title Show. It will be conducted at Katara’s beautiful esplanade.  

His Excellency Prof. Khalid Bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, General Manager, Katara and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Katara International Arabian Horse Festival, said: “We are pleased with the remarkable response we have received from horse owners and breeders.  Registrations have been received from the Middle East and Europe, including Belgium, Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar.

“The Auction is being held as a pre-event to the festival and will offer horse owners an occasion to invest in fine purebred Arabians. It will also present them with the opportunity to be part of the Title Show if they have not registered already.  Through the festival, we endeavor to boost the confidence and pride of owners and breeders by presenting them with opportunities to participate in prestigious Arabian horse shows and associated events.”

Qatar has earned a place of global distinction in conducting such shows of repute. The nation has previously hosted 29 international shows and championships for purebred Arabians. This is the first time the premier show is being hosted at Cultural Village Foundation, Katara. The Title Show has some distinct features: it is the first event of its kind being held by the waterfront, and the total prize money of QAR 13,000,000 is one the highest awarded for such an event.

In addition to the Title Show of exquisite Arabians, the five-day festival will include various educational and entertainment activities for equine enthusiasts and the public.

الإقبال الكثيف استدعى تعديل جدول المنافسات

أربعة أيام لبطولة "تايتل شو" في مهرجان كتارا الدولي للخيل العربية

 

الدوحة، 20 يناير 2021 – تتواصل التحضيرات لمهرجان كتارا الدولي للخيل العربية 2021 (KIAHF) الذي تنظمه المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي – كتارا، تحت الرعاية الكريمة لحضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المُفدّى. وشهد المهرجان إقبالاً كثيفاً من مُلّاك ومربي الخيل، حيث تم تقديم أكثر من 300 طلب لمشاركة خيل عربية أصيلة في بطولة "تايتل شو" الدولية التي تُقام خلال المهرجان، تأهّل منهم ما يزيد على 200 ممّن استوفوا المتطلبات المحددة.

وساهم ارتفاع عدد المشاركات في زيادة الأيام المخصصة لبطولة "تايتل شو" لضمان أفضل ظروف للمنافسات، وتمت زيادة يوم إضافي فباتت البطولة أربعة أيام من 3 - 6 فبراير. أما المهرجان الذي تنظمه كتارا بالتعاون مع الاتحاد القطري للفروسية ونادي السباق والفروسية، فمواعيده لم تتغير وهي من 2 - 6 فبراير.

كما أنه من المتوقع أن ترتفع المشاركات في بطولة "تايتل شو"، حيث سيتم فتح باب التسجيل للخيل المؤهلة في بطولة قطر المحلية لجمال الخيل العربية الأصيلة الثالثة والعشرين التي ستقام في الفترة 22- 26 يناير المقبل.

وتشمل الاستعدادات تنظيم مزاد للخيل العربية الأصيلة التي تأهلت للمشاركة في "تايتل شو" وذلك قبل المهرجان في 29 يناير، على شاطئ كتارا.

في هذا الإطار قال سعادة الأستاذ الدكتور خالد بن إبراهيم السليطي، المدير العام لكتارا ورئيس اللجنة المنظمة لمهرجان كتارا الدولي للخيل العربية الأصيلة: "نحن سعداء بالتجاوب اللافت الذي لقيناه من مُلّاك ومربي الخيل، حيث وصلتنا مشاركات من الشرق الأوسط وأوروبا، وتحديداً من بلجيكا والكويت والسعودية والبحرين وقطر".

كما لفت سعادة أ.د. السليطي إلى أن "المزاد الذي سيقام قبل المهرجان سيتيح الفرصة لأصحاب الخيل الذين فاتهم تسجيل خيلهم مسبقاً، لشراء واحد في الخيل العربية الأصيلة المؤهلة لبطولة "تايتل شو""، وأضاف "من خلال المهرجان، نسعى إلى تعزيز ثقة وفخر مُلّاك ومربي الخيل، من خلال إتاحة المجال لهم للمشاركة في عروض الخيل العربية المرموقة والفعاليات المرتبطة بها".

الجدير بالذكر أن قطر حازت على مكانة مرموقة عالمياً في تنظيم مثل هذه العروض المميزة، حيث سبق لها أن استضافت 29 عرضاً وبطولة دولية للخيل العربية الأصيلة. لكن ما يميّز هذا الحدث هو أن بطولة "تايتل شو" تنظم لأول مرة في المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي- كتارا، كما أنها البطولة الأولى من نوعها التي تُقام على الواجهة البحرية، وهي تعتبر من أغنى البطولات لجهة إجمالي الجوائز المالية المخصصة لها والبالغة 13 مليون ريال قطري.

بالإضافة إلى بطولة "تايتل شو"، سيتضمن مهرجان كتارا الدولي للخيل العربية 2021 نشاطات تعليمية وترفيهية متنوعة لعشاق الفروسية وللجمهور، وذلك على مدار أيام المهرجان الخمسة.

 

المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي - كتارا

يعتبر الحي الثقافي مشروعاً استثنائياً يزخر بالآمال والتفاعلات الإنسانية، وقد تحقق هذا المشروع بفضل رؤية صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني أمير دولة قطر حينها، وإيمانه القوي وقيادته الحكيمة.

ولا شك أن تتبع مصدر وتتطور كلمة "قطر" خلال التاريخ مفيد ومثير للاهتمام في الوقت نفسه، نظراً لثروة قطر الثقافية والتعليمية، حيث يلعب هذا الثراء الثقافي دوراً مهماً في بناء المجتمع القطري، فالأسس القوية للهوية القطرية وقيمها نابعة من تعلق المواطن بجذوره القديمة، ومسايرته للحداثة، ومواكبة التكنولوجيا.
