Lisa Markley Arabians

Since 1979, Lisa Markley has shares her life with Arabian horses. She has also been blessed with opportunities to become friends with some of the most highly acclaimed Arabian horse breeders in the world.  From these relationships Lisa has learned that in order to achieve success as a breeder, you must not follow trends; focus on & follow the “ideal” you wish to achieve; stay true to your beliefs, & do your homework.  One piece of advice that continues to resonate is, “Breed for the best horse possible, and everything else will follow.” This advice came from Lisa's dear friend, mentor & highly respected Arabian horse breeder, Lucy Whittier.

Lisa is extremely humbled by her achievements as a breeder & overjoyed by the successes her mares have realized in their offspring.  Sharing her passion with her husband, Harry, their family, friends & the beautiful mares is a true blessing. Whether cleaning stalls, filling water buckets, tossing hay into mangers or just lovin’ on her horses… there is no better-suited life for Lisa than being down at the barn & with her Arabian horses.
